About CEV

Circular Economy Victoria is an independent not-for-profit organisation that works to catalyse bottom-up action in support of the transition towards a more circular economy in Victoria. We envision a World where all people can live within a safe and just space in balance with the Planet. Our mission helps realise this regenerative vision by empowering every Victorian to: experience their life through a circular lens; develop their own journey to circularity; activate their local circular ecosystems.

In support of our mission, CEV designs, develops, and delivers a variety of education, collaboration and action-oriented programs. All programs are brought to life in a highly collaborative manner with a diverse and growing list of project partners.

Your role in the CEV team

We are looking for an engaged and passionate Circular Program Officer for the Victorian Circular Activator (VCA), a physical circular economy focused innovation hub based at RMIT University.

As a Circular Program Officer, you will support the development and delivery of a number of engagement and capability building programs with industry and local government stakeholders, as well as support applied research and innovation with internal project partners at RMIT University, Swinburne University and the Australian Circular Economy Hub.

You are an excellent communicator and group facilitator and have knowledge or experience in capacity building (training execution, online learning, and more). On the content level, you have a base understanding and high level of curiosity of the circular economy body of knowledge.

This role requires a background in project delivery. You will support the project steering committee in researching, identifying, and engaging potential collaboration partners for the program. To this end, you are able to engage with stakeholders from various backgrounds and levels and can build professional and long-term relationships. In the short term, you will deliver key aspects of the VCA work plan including: identifying program participants and partners; applying research and innovation to the delivery of the programs; liaising with internal and external stakeholders to deliver the targeted impact; and collate program feedback and data for project milestone reports. In the long term, you will support the growth and success of the Victorian Circular Activator, secure its significance to external stakeholders, consolidate relationships with key partners, and refine its long-term strategy.

You are reliable and driven by a spirit of collaboration, constantly challenging yourself and others to innovate, while bringing quality to execution and delivery. You are practical and skilful, and eager to make an impact and scale it up.

What we offer you

For this role, we are offering an initial 12-month contract on a part-time 0.6 FTE basis (3 days a week), from August 2021. We offer in depth training in the circular economy to help you build a foundation for future leadership in the transition to a more circular economy. This is an awesome challenge for a passionate person that loves to learn continuously and take up responsibilities in a vibrant and talented team. Salary is competitive, keeping in mind we are a non-profit, startup organisation, based in Melbourne.

To apply please respond with a motivational letter and CV or LinkedIn profile. Applications close 5pm on Friday, 30 July 2021.
